Drifting floats quietly through the still calm waters. This paper sailboat sculpture would look fantastic in a child's room or beach house! The prints on the blue sails were inspired by odd sea critters found in a vintage encyclopedia.
This work is smaller than some of the other sailboats and does not include a lamp cord. Instead, it comes with a small string of battery operated LED fairy lights.
This sculpture was lovingly handcrafted from wire, handprinted paper, and nautical map paper. There is also some shiny loosely woven fabric glued over one side of two of the sails. The masts are wrapped in silky dark red fabric and white string attaches the sails. The paper has been coated in a matt UV protecting varnish to help keep it from fading.
