About the Print Series
I moved to Nashville TN in 2012 to explore a new city, find a job, and make art! In Nashville I quickly joined a printmaking collective called Platetone Printmaking and Book Arts. I made this series of innovative prints using lino-cuts of Nashville cityscapes and a map of Nashville. Before printing, I folded the paper in different ways, unfolding and re-folding and printing on both sides of the paper. At the end, I coated the paper with clear wax on some of the prints to make it more translucent, highlighting the layers. Each print is unique.
