Mountain Lake Dance
wire, paper, string, ribbon, thread, beads, fairy-lights

Mountain Lake Dance

In the company of the speaker-into-being
the impossible dissolves as a mist
and I rise up to dance on the surface
of unspeakable beauty.

For a little while I reflect the divine as the
surface of the lake reflects the heavenly realms.
My laughter echoes yours
and my ears hear your voice
speaking into being
the story you are writing of my life.

Here, where all is possible, I trust the story.

I can see the wrinkles of your love
expanding out to gently kiss
all the world as it rests
on the shore of your voice.

That you would choose to dance with me;
this is the greater mystery.
